Job Description
As a Technical Trainer you will work closely with the developers from our clients and partners during the implementation phase, helping them to understand and utilize the commercetools platform. You will often convert them from a monolithic mindset to a new world of APIs, and highly scalable cloud and microservice architectures. You provide the expertise, best practices and hands-on experience with the software components of our open source ecosystem. Our international and highly motivated team of Product and Partner Managers, programmers, and specialists for the SDKs of the respective programming languages will support you on this mission.
About your new role
  • Interface with sales, product management, and development
  • Conduct training programmers with both organizational and content-related course-work.
  • Develop training content, sample code, tutorials, exercises, and more
  • Document training and self-learning materials
  • Train our partners and customers down to expert level regarding the possibilities (and limits) of existing and future features of the commercetools platform
  • Work closely with our other Technical Trainers across the globe

Skills & Requirements
  • Some real-world programming and software development experience, ideally polyglott (the most important languages of our partners and customers are JavaScript / Node.js, Java, PHP, C#)
  • Passion and creativity to create interesting training and content
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience is also acceptable.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Friendly, professional and confident appearance
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% (e.g. for partner trainings)
  • eCommerce background (understanding of typical project requirements and problems)
  • Multi-lingual
